When treatment is not possible there, we assess a transfer within a humanitarian programme.
Legal framework
The temporary transfer of foreign minors for medical treatment is regulated, and we follow every requirement.
- Stay of up to 90 days for medical treatment.
- It must be part of a humanitarian programme.
- Only when specialised treatment or surgery cannot be carried out in the country of origin.
- The promoting entity must be a registered non-profit association or foundation.
- The prior report is requested 3 to 4 months in advance.
